CONNECTIONS GUIDE POWER
As all of our cables are hand-made to order we offer a wide variety plugs that can be used on our cables. Below is a quick guide along with some information as to the
differences between different plugs. If you would like a specific plug not listed below or have any questions or queries then please do contact us.
Mains Plugs
We offer a range of international mains plugs so that our power cables can be used in a number of different countries. Mains plugs come in either standard versions or
high-performance options.
Standard UK Mains Plug
We
use the high quality MK Toughplug on our
Copper-line Alpha Power Cable
as standard. The plug features a silver-plated fuse holder and brass
pins along with our high quality silver-plated copper fuses. This plug can only be fitted to the Copper-line Alpha Power Cable.
Standard High Performance UK Mains Plug
Our
Standard High Performance UK Mains Plug is of very high quality and features a silver-plated fuse
holder and brass pins. The
Standard High Performance UK Mains Plug is fitted with the very best high quality silver-plated copper fuses which are cleaned and
treated by us with DeoxIT and DeoxIT Gold. The Standard High Performance UK Mains Plug can be fitted to all of our power cables
but is fitted as standard to the Copper-line, Silver-line and Silver-line Optimus Power Cables.
Furutech FI-UK Mains Plug
The Furutech FI-UK is a high-performance mains plug and features 24k gold-plated eutectic brass alpha conductor components throughout.
All of the gold-plated components are treated by us with DeoxIT Gold. The Furutech FI-UK Mains Plug is fitted with the very best high quality
silver-plated copper fuses which are cleaned and treated by us with DeoxIT and DeoxIT Gold. The Furutech FI-UK Mains Plug can be fitted to all of
our power cables.
Standard SCHUKO
Our Standard SCHUKO is a CEE 7/7 design which can be used in many different European countries. Of a very high quality our
standard SCHUKO features nickel plated brass components offering excellent durability and long performance. The Standard
SCHUKO can be fitted to all of our power cables.
The Furutech FI-E35 is a high-performance SCHUKO plug and features non-magnetic alpha pure copper pins which are 24k gold
plated.In addition, all alpha components are treated with Furutech Alpha Process (Super Cryogenic & Demagnetising Treatment). All
components are treated by us with DeoxIT Gold. The Furutech FI-E35 SCHUKO plug can be fitted to all of our power cables.
The Wattgate 5266i US Plug is the standard US plug that we fit to our power cables and features Wattgate's Perma-Lock terminals and
polycarbonate housing. The Wattgate 5266i US Plug is also cryogenically treated. The Wattgate 5266i US Plug can be fitted to all of
our power cables.
The Wattgate 330i US Plug is a high performance gold-plated US plug. Featuring the same design as the Wattgate 5266i US Plug but
with Wattgate's three-layer plating system this plug offers improved performance especially over the long-term. All components are
treated by us with DeoxIT Gold. The Wattgate 330i US Plug is also cryogenically treated. The Wattgate 330i US Plug can be fitted to
all of our power cables.
The Wattgate 330i Ag US Plug is a high performance silver-plated US plug. The plug is identical in construction to the Wattgate 330i US
Plug but with all components being silver-plated. This offers lower contact resistance and further improvements to performance but the
plug pins do need treating with DeoxIT Gold every six months to ensure optimal performance. All components are treated by us with
DeoxIT Gold and DeoxIT Shield. The Wattgate 330i US Plug can be fitted to all of our power cables.
Standard Australian / New Zealand Plug
Our standard Australian / New Zealand Plug is made to the same specifications as our Standard UK Mains Plug featuring brass
components throughout and a clear polycarbonate housing. The Standard Australian / New Zealand Plug can be fitted to all of our
power cables.
Furutech FI-AU 3112 Australian / New Zealand Plug
The Furutech FI-AU 3112 is a high-performance Australian / New Zealand mains plug and features alpha pure copper pins which are 24k gold
plated. All of the gold-plated components are treated by us with DeoxIT Gold. The Furutech FI-AU 3112 can be fitted to all of our power cables.
End Termination Plugs
We offer a range of end terminations so that our cables be used to power a huge variety of equipment. As with our mains plugs we offer both standard and high-performance
options.
Standard IEC
The
Standard IEC is used on the
Copper-line Alpha Power Cable as standard.
Large contact pins are utilised along with large contact
platforms for excellent connectivity. This plug can only be fitted to the Copper-line Alpha Power Cable.
Standard Right Angled IEC
The
Standard Right Angled IEC can be fitted to the
Copper-line Alpha Power Cable to allow
installation where rear access depth is restricted.
As with the Standard IEC above large contact pins are utilised along with large contact platforms for excellent connectivity. This plug can only
be fitted to the Copper-line Alpha Power Cable.
Standard HC 16A IEC
The Standard HC 16A IEC is used on the Copper-line Alpha Power Cable as standard. This type of IEC is usually used on very powerful
amplifiers and is used by many manufacturers including Arcam, Chord Electronics, Musical Fidelity and Krell. Large contact pins are
utilised along with large contact platforms for excellent connectivity. This plug can only be fitted to the Copper-line Alpha Power Cable.
The Wattgate 320i IEC is the standard IEC plug that we fit to our Copper-line and Silver-line power cables and features Wattgate's
Perma-Lock terminals and polycarbonate housing. The Wattgate 320i IEC is also cryogenically treated. The Wattgate 320i IEC
can be fitted to all of our power cables but is fitted as standard to the Copper-line, Silver-line and Silver-line Optimus Power Cables.
The Wattgate 350i IEC is a high performance gold-plated IEC plug. Featuring the same design as the Wattgate 320i IEC but with
Wattgate's three-layer plating system this plug offers improved performance especially over the long-term. All components are
treated by us with DeoxIT Gold. The Wattgate 350i IEC is also cryogenically treated. The Wattgate 350i IEC can be fitted to all
of our power cables.
The Wattgate 350i Ag IEC is a high performance silver-plated IEC plug. The IEC is identical in construction to the Wattgate 350i IEC
but with all components being silver-plated. This offers lower contact resistance and further improvements to performance but the plug
pins do need treating with DeoxIT Gold every six months to ensure optimal performance. All components are treated by us with DeoxIT
Gold and DeoxIT Shield. The Wattgate 350i Ag IEC is also cryogenically treated. The Wattgate 350i Ag IEC can be fitted to all of our
power cables.
The Wattgate 320i HC IEC is a high current 16A IEC plug. This type of IEC is usually used on very powerful amplifiers and is used by
many manufacturers including Arcam, Chord Electronics, Musical Fidelity and Krell. Of the same specification as the Wattgate 320i
IEC the HC version utilises Wattgate's Perma-Lock terminals and polycarbonate housing. The Wattgate 320i HC IEC is also
cryogenically treated. The Wattgate 320i HC IEC can be fitted to all of our power cables.
The Wattgate 350i HC IEC is a high performance gold-plated high current 16A IEC plug. Featuring the same design as the Wattgate
320i HC IEC but with Wattgate's three-layer plating system this plug offers improved performance especially over the long-term. All
components are treated by us with DeoxIT Gold. The Wattgate 350i HC IEC is also cryogenically treated. The Wattgate 350i HC IEC
can be fitted to all of our power cables.
The Wattgate 350i Ag HC IEC is a high performance silver-plated high current 16A IEC plug. The IEC is identical in construction to the
Wattgate 350i HC IEC but with all components being silver-plated. This offers lower contact resistance and further improvements to
performance but the internal contact pins should be treated with DeoxIT Gold every six months to ensure optimal performance. All
components are treated by us with DeoxIT Gold and DeoxIT Shield. The Wattgate 350i Ag HC IEC is also cryogenically treated. The
Wattgate 350i HC IEC can be fitted to all of our power cables.
The Furutech FI-8N is a high-performance Figure 8 connector for use with a wide range of components including LCD and LED displays,
Sky HD boxes, Sony PS3, Blu-ray players etc. The connector utilises Furutech's Alpha Beryllium Copper and Phosphor Bronze conductors
which are directly plated with 24k gold.The Furutech FI-8N can be fitted to all of our power cables.
The Neutrik PowerCon is a high current 20A connection used on some equipment including mains conditioners and very powerful amplifiers.
The plug has large silver-plated contacts and uses a locking mechanism to ensure a secure connection. The Neutrik PowerCon can be
fitted to all of our power cables.
