SUPER SUPPRESSORS FERRITE RINGS

Our audio-grade custom Super Suppressor™ ferrite rings are specifically designed for each cable application and suppress and attenuate Electromagnetic Interference (EMI),

specifically Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) and other noise that is on the cable line.

Although our shielding techniques are highly effective in stopping EMI especially RFI from entering cable lines (and radiating from cable lines, as in power cables), testing of our

Super Suppressor™ ferrite rings has proved to be very successful. The Super Suppressor™ ferrite rings attenuate from 25MHz onwards and are incredibly good at reducing

EMI and other noise that is actually on the cable line. This is a very important factor that nowadays affects the performance of everyone's hi-fi unless you have very good

comprehensive mains filtering in place. The main culprit here is RFI as it is the most common interference that could be on the cable line; this is because RFI can very easily

work its way into the feedback loop. The Super Suppressor™ ferrite rings eliminate RFI in its tracks, stopping it from reaching your hi-fi system. The result is a cleaner power

supply or signal line which in turn leads to clearer audio.

The Super Suppressors™ give the best benefits on power cables, then speaker cables then interconnects. For example, Super Suppressors™ on our power cables gives rise

to better bass definition, an improvement in the definition and depth of the soundstage, subtle improvements in clarity and detail with vocals becoming better focussed.

Generally, the sound is more open and transparent. In addition, any high frequency haze, common as a result of noise being on cable lines, is removed. However, the

differences in sound quality are dependent on the levels of EMI affecting the cable in question; the worse the EMI and RFI factors affecting the cable, the better the improvement

in sound.

Some people report negative effects in the use of ferrite rings. Typical negative effects reported are the sound being more 'closed-in' and in some instances treble can lose

sparkle. However, this is subjective and very much dependent on many factors. Although slight 'closing-in' is a negative effect, the extra benefits in sound quality as above will

be apparent and would outweigh the slight negative effects. In any event, we did not find any negative effects on the use of our Super Suppressors™ ferrite rings on our power

cables, speaker cables or interconnects; put simply, they give clearer audio!
